Fabrication Support for DSN Antennas
NASA Deep Space Network (DSN)
I provided manufacturing support for several DSN engineers over 20 years. I supported antenna maintenance by having parts fabricated and/or welded. These parts would include pass-throughs, lifting devices, alignment fixtures for mirrors, catwalk platforms with safety railings, etc.
I managed manufacturing support for replacing antenna components as needed. In the course of two decades, the support I provided ensured that DSN missions were not compromised due to malfunctioning and aging parts.
